SUITE 309
This whimsical and romantic 398 square foot suite honors Amelia Earhart, the first female aviator to fly solo across the Atlantic Ocean. Fascination with Earhart, who was originally from Atchison, Kansas continues today after the pioneer and author disappeared over the central Pacific Ocean in July of 1937. This suite is a tribute to her bold and playful character as it features a beautiful queen bed and plush mattress, an antique dresser and mirror, chest of drawers, and two reading chairs. The suite overlooks the Historic Elgin Hotel courtyard and includes a spacious walk-in closet with a mini-frig and plush robes and slippers. The private bath features the amazing two-person “fun tub” fronted by a gas fireplace and a separate walk-in glass shower. Suite 309 can be combined with suites 310 and 311 for a three-room suite with a bonus private living area.
